15th Anniversary Celebration |
|
Welcome to Earthsongs Works in Clay and our completely re-designed website and brand new blog! We are celebrating our 15th anniversary beginning in June, 2008. To mark this year, we have a whole series of activities planned. The celebration will open with an exhibit in June at the Metuchen Library. The exhibit will include work by many previous studio students, along with brief comments about their remembered experience of working at the studio. Workshops open to adults and children follow all through June and July, and again in September and October. Additional activities are planned for Spring, 2009. Commissions continue to keep a lively pace at Earthsongs. Having completed the Metuchen Bath re-design, specialty porcelain design elements that coordinate with marble tile for a Master Bath in Montclair, NJ is a major focus right now. The feel of water and clouds and wind are to infuse the tiles being created at Earthsongs. A grant-funded mandala developed in collaboration with the Peacemakers at the Conerly Road School in Somerset, NJ is also currently on the table at Earthsongs. The 38" Peace through Education Mandala will be permanently installed in the office of the new Superintendent of the Franklin Township School District. Additional small pieces are also currently in process. For now, enjoy the coming of Spring, and do re-visit the site regularly. I will be updating the blog at least monthly. |
